IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN GUYS. You all should come join my secret santa, over here! I’ve been participating for several years now and it’s the best-organised SS art exchange I’ve seen anywhere. Post in the participants thread to be included in the event!

a little more about us:
- We have a volunteer system in place so that all participants are guaranteed to receive art even if their ‘santa’ vanishes.
- All skill levels are welcome!
- We are very OC-friendly, though other subjects are also welcome.
- If there is anything you love/hate drawing you can mention it in your profile and this will be taken into consideration during the random selection process; we want to make sure everyone gets a request they will enjoy!
- The random selection takes place on 15 November and participants have until 22 December to finish their art— well over a month.

I'm currently offering ACEO commissions in three main styles, though if you would like something else that can be arranged.
Commission requests can be sent by DA Note or emailed to felix.duskglass @ gmail dot com (but keep in mind that emails will be replied to more quickly since I don't check DA every day).

Limited Palette: 15 USD

- single character busts only
- you may provide any palette of up to 4 colours (white doesn't count towards the total)
- I can also choose the palette for you if you prefer

Ink + Marker: 20 USD

- half figure (about hips up)
- additional characters may be requested

Painted (Gouache): 25 USD

- half figure (hips/knees up)
- additional characters may be requested

- no porn or sexual content.
- adequate image reference must be provided for ACEO commissions (no text-only reference).
- will draw any character type (human/animal/anthro/mecha/etc).

- Prices are for a single character; additional characters cost extra.
- Worldwide postage is included in the price, and all cards are mailed in protective plastic sleeves.
- I currently take paypal only (email is the same as my contact info above).
- Payment (in USD) is required up front; completed work cannot be refunded.

- by default, I do NOT send WIPs of ACEOs; if you would like a sketch WIP you must request it up front.
- cards should be completed and sent out within a week of receiving payment/refs!

I have no idea whether anyone even reads my journal posts, but I wanted to give this a signal boost anyway! If you like giving and receiving art, I highly recommend checking out Secret Santa for Artists! I've been participating in this event for several years and it's probably the best-organised art-based secret santa I've seen around. (They take a lot of care to make sure everyone receives art even if a participant vanishes, and instead of being 100% random the selection factors in things like drawing likes/dislikes, so you're a lot likelier to get a request you'll be super excited about.) If anyone wants to participate, post here by 13 November. C:

I got tagged to do this thing by so I guess I'll do it.
(not gonna tag other people because I'm lazy, but if you want to do this go right ahead!)

1. I can't stand cheese. Not at all.
2. I almost always drink coffee and tea straight, nothing added to them.
3. I like strong, dark-roast coffee best, preferrably French roast. (If I can't taste the caffeine it's too weak.)
4. I cook for myself a lot.
5. No one else can eat what I cook because it's too spicy.
6. I love chocolate but I only eat quality chocolate (I'm a chocolate snob I suppose?)
7. I don't know why all of these so far are about food.
8. I work in theatre; I make costumes and props and I also cosplay sometimes
9. I always pick cosplays with elaborate makeup/bodypaint.
10. I'm a huge geek for costume history and well thought out costume design.
11. I like watching cartoons and I never watched them as a kid.

I found this cool animation thing and I wanted to share! (I think the thing the trailer is for is actually a comic? Either way, it's a super neat animation style.)
